Welcome to the H-Sphere Quick Setup guide. If you have
just signed up for a reseller plan and want to get in and
get going FAST, this is the guide for you. We cannot stress
enough that you must follow this guide exactly as written.
Once you get through this tutorial you should have a good
working knowledge of what your H-Sphere panel can do as
well as a feel for where everything is at inside the panel.
Good Luck!
- Access Your Reseller Account
- Open your 'new account notification' e-mail.
- Click the given CP URL or goto http://www.myhostingcenter.com to
get directly to your H-Sphere Control Panel login page.
- At the login page enter your login and password provided
in the e-mail.
- Enter the control panel by clicking the Login button.
- Create an Administrative Account
Reseller account represents you as a user of the system
but doesn't allow you to provide hosting services. It
is a gateway to creating your administrative account.
Administrative account is used to manage your
hosting system.
It isn't intended to maintain your corporate site but to administer your
hosting system, i.e. create plans, manage your customers' accounts, etc.
To create the administrative account:
- Log into your reseller account.
- Click the Enter Reseller CP icon.
- Create an Administrative Account.

- Enter Admin login. It must be different
from that to your reseller account. It will be
used to log directly into your admin account.
- Enter Admin password to log into your
reseller account.
- Enter Description for any additional
info you want to leave about the account.
- Enter contact Email.
- Click Submit.
- Note: You Cannot Use
the Same Reseller Username that you used to
get to this point. Create a new one specifically
for your Admin Account. NEVER delete your Admin
account!
- On the next page, click Login to enter the
newly created admin account:

!IMPORTANT!
At this point you cannot create any hosting plans or websites until you setup
your Service DNS zones, Nameservers, Aliases and Service plan that services
your entire reseller account. To do this proceed to Step 3
- Create a DNS Zone
Now that you have created the admin account, you need
to setup your DNS:
- Select DNS Manager in the E. Manager menu.

- On the page that appears, click the Add DNS Zone link.

- Enter all necessary information on the page that
appears.

Where:
Name: the name of your domain you will be using to offer hosting
services without the "www" part.
Admin e-mail: your e-mail address with ' .' instead of @
Allow third level domain hosting: check this box to let your
customers register domains like customerdomain.yourdomain.com.
Master server and slave
1: Leave as is.
- Click Submit.
- Create an Instant Alias Template
The instant alias template is required to generate instant
aliases. They provide immediate access to your customers'
sites while DNS servers get updated.
To create an Instant Alias Template, continue with the
following:
- Click the Edit icon under the Action field.

- At the top of the page that shows, click the Add
instant alias link.

- In the form that appears, enter "u" which
stands for Unix accounts. and leave the shared IP tag
value as it is.

- Click Submit.
- Add a Server Alias
Server alias is your own name for the parent host. Once
you set up the server alias, it will appear everywhere
in place of the real server name. In other words, the
parent host will become totally transparent to the end
customers, and you will look to them as a totally independent
hosting provider.
To add a Server Alias, do the following:
- Select Server Aliases in the E. Manager menu.

- Set your server aliases for each host in the Reseller`s
DNS server aliases section. (For the purpose
of this tutorial, you see we have ns1.mytutorial.com
and ns2.mytutorial.com. For your own DNS server aliases,
you would see your own domain in place of "mytutorial.com").
Click Submit when done.

- Name servers and the corresponding IP's for each
of them will show in Reseller`s DNS server aliases section.

- On the lower portion of your screen you will see
all of the server aliases that service your reseller
account. The Osis Hosting H-Sphere server cluster includes
over 4 servers that will host your websites, control
panel, mail, SQL DB's and other reseller applications.

Click the Submit button to submit all of your
server aliases. On the lower portion of your screen
you will now see your submitted aliases:

- Registering Your Reseller custom Nameservers
If you have registered
your nameservers with your registrar (ie, Network
solutions, GoDaddy, Register.Com, bulkRegister
etc..) you may skip Step 6. All others READ CAREFULLY. This
may be the most important step when setting up
your reseller plans, because if your nameservers
are not registered, NONE of your reseller domains
will work.
- On the top portion of the Server Aliases screen
(inside E.Manager) you will now see your
Nameservers and the corresponding Ip addresses
for each. Your IP's are dynamically assigned when
you create the Nameserver aliases on step 5.2 above.
Your IP's will be different than the ones listed
below. Use the IP's that are listed in your control
panel.

The most important thing to remember when creating
your nameservers is that your nameservers will never
be recognized by servers across the internet until
they are REGISTERED by an accredited registrar. You
must register your nameservers with the registrar with
whom you bought the domain before any users, accounts
or anything referring to your nameservers will work.
This includes temporary URL's created by H-Sphere using
your domain, ie. (1P4646546.yourservicedomain.com).
!IMPORTANT!
Do Not submit ns1.myhostingcenter.com or ns2.myhostingcenter.com to
your registrar. You must use your assigned custom nameservers. Failure
to do so will result in email and other malfuntions.
Once you submit your nameservers to your registrar,
typically a 2-4 day wait is standard before these nameservers
become active across the internet. This is often called "propagation".
If you are not sure how to register a nameserver with
your Registrar contact them for help or support. Most
registrars have a "how-to" or an FAQ dealing
with "Registering Nameservers" on their website.

for your Hosting or Service Website.
